Free Retreat at Spiritual Guide Intensive

A good friend here in Southern Oregon has offered to cover all lodging and food expenses for the first closing retreat of the Spiritual Guide Intensive for anyone who signs up by August 1. The program is limited to 16. You can get all the information on the intensive here.

Cinco de Jesus and Becoming a Spiritual Guide Part 1 & 2

My friend David from Columbus, Ohio sent me a copy of this video as an example of “spiritual poverty” one of the values in “Becoming a Spiritual Guide” . Here’s part 1 and 2 of the talk. Some fun (although also humbling) stories I’ll call  Cinco de Jesus, the Marriage Transaction, and Adventures at the Senior Citizen College Prayer Service.

Mentorship Intensive: “Becoming a Spiritual Guide”

After years of prodding from some youth ministry colleagues, I am organizing a spiritual formation intensive program entitled “Becoming a Spiritual Guide.”  This will be a three month spiritual leadership program involving two, four-day retreats and sixteen weeks of guided spiritual practice (through online media) and weekly, one-on-one spiritual direction. Because of the intensity of the time and energy given to each participant, the program will be limited to 15 people. The program may be run through Claremont Lincoln University (so graduate credits or CEU’s may be available), but I would personally work with each of the students over the 3 month period and all retreats would take place at a beautiful spot here in Ashland, Oregon. The program will be announced on various websites next week, but if you think you might be interested let me know and I’ll make sure you get an application. The program begins March of 2014.

Also in talks with various organizations about running this program in the U.K. as soon as this fall or winter. Write me if you are in the U.K. and interested in participating.
