We Did It! $13,000 Raised for The New Hearth Community

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 60-day fundraiser for The Hearth Community. We raised $1,000 over our goal of $12,000. Now we’ll start creating a number of programs to build community and address suffering within Southern Oregon. I believe The Hearth will become a new model for community-building as our civic and religious institutions continue to decline. To stay informed ¬†subscribe to The Hearth Community blog here.¬† Or “like” us on facebook here. Also, Austin Seminary will be sponsoring a 3-day training event on developing The Hearth model in your own town this October. I’ll post updated information on that event as the year progresses. Happy New Year and thank you to everyone for their support.–Mark

We Need $640 in 60 Hours!

We have been engaged in a 60 day fundraising campaign to raise $12,000 for a new model of community-building here in Southern Oregon. The Hearth Community uses story, silence, song, and service to build diverse relationships and address suffering within small towns. We are in conversation about developing this model in communities across Oregon. If you are able, go to our Indiegogo Campaign (here), watch our video and make a (tax-deductible) pledge to help us reach our goal. Thanks, Mark
